Harold
Piatt has over 28 years in law enforcement experience with a major
Texas law enforcement agency. He has held a command rank for more than
7 years. Past assignments have included the organized crime unit,
S.W.A.T., investigations and patrol services. He was the Commander of
the Downtown Area, which included the well-known 6th Street
Entertainment District. He implemented the procedures still in use to
control large event crowds. Some of these special events include Mardi
Gras, Halloween, and the Y2K celebration with attendance estimates in
excess of 200,000. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal
Justice, a Certified Public Managers certification from Texas State
University, and has completed the Executive Police Management Course at
the Kennedy School of Business at Harvard.
Dale
Toler retired with over 25 years of service with the Austin Police
Department. He has worked patrol and bicycle patrol in the 6th
Street Entertainment District, S.W.A.T., and bomb squad. He retired in
2007 as a Patrol Supervisor. He has personally planned and implemented
law enforcement responses to large-scale crowds. He has a Criminal
Justice Master's degree from Texas State University. He is currently a
faculty member of the Austin Community College.
Beatrice (Bebe) Rocha Piatt - Security Manager
Bebe Piatt has over 15 years combined experience in an array of public
service positions. She is a former commissioned peace
officer for the State of Texas Parks and Wildlife Division. She has worked as an
investigator for Child Protective Services. Served as an Emergency 911 Operator for the Austin Police Department and is a former Patient Navigator for the American Cancer
Society. Ms. Piatt has a Bachelor of
Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Edward's University, Austin, TX.
